When we think about beauty and protecting ourselves the first thing we think about is sun protection. Even though sun protection is an important component to beauty, I’ll address it in another post. Today I wanted to talk about protecting your health. We can’t feel beautiful when we’re feeling sick. With the flu season right around the corner, I wanted to provide you with some tips and tricks to navigate this upcoming flu season.
The first post I wanted to share with you is my cleansing ritual. It is easy to just try to create a routine, but it is important to create a routine that works for you and your skin type. So let’s get started!
The first step to any beauty ritual is cleansing. We all have our holy-grail cleanser and let’s not lie, we always like trying the newest cleanser to hit the market. If you’re like me your bathroom is probably filled with all sorts of cleansers, however, I always happen to reach for my most trusted. I have relatively oily-acne prone skin and it took me a really long time to find the perfect combination for my skin. It was difficult to find a cleanser that could gently cleanse my face, without over-drying it. After years of trying many cleansers I finally found a regimen that works for me. Let me share my steps to cleansing correctly.

I wanted to start off my first post by sharing with you one of most important things I’ve learned in the past couple of years. Personally, whatever I learned about skin care was from my older sister and my own research. I admit that like anyone else, I become lazy when it comes to taking care of my face. For a woman, her appearance is a huge deal. Whether you are going to school, work, or just out to dinner, any glam girl will apply some form of makeup. But, I have one word, WATER.
