Hello Beauties, I apologize for the lack of posts! I am back and want to share one of my all time favorite foundations with you.
My day to day makeup routine is actually quite simple. I am the type of person that likes to let my skin breathe and not apply heavy foundation everyday. I like to wash my face as soon as I get home – because I love the feeling of a fresh, clean, and moisturized face. On special occasions, I will spend more than 10 minutes getting ready in the morning – but my daily skincare routine is not that intense. I have tried so many foundations – some made me more oily, some made me break out, and some I did give the coverage I wanted.
After a long time of research and experimenting with different products, I finally found a good fondation. So let’s get to the star and that is …. The Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation.
Why Do I Like It?
Well… as we all know, I suffer from oily/acne prone skin. I wanted a foundation that upon application can help control the oil production throughout the day, without drying or causing breakouts. This foundation is a long-lasting 12-hour wear product. The Amazonian Clay acts to control overly oily and/or dry areas throughout the day. As soon as you apply this product to your skin, you notice a difference. After ONE day I noticed my skin was less oily by noon, and the coverage was exactly what I wanted it to be. It does not feel cakey or heavy on your skin at all, which equals happier skin! Another plus is that it has SPF 15 in it, so this foundation is definitely killin it!
Note: Ladies, we have to protect our skin from the harsh sun! Remember to NEVER forget to wear some type of SPF – whether it be in your moisturizer, primer, or foundation.
How Do I Wear It?
Step 1: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize
Step 2: Prime Skin – (my favorite Primer is the Maybelline
Step 3: Using a damp beauty blender, I apply the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation – (or using the Tarte Buffing Brush). I have tried both methods but really like the Buffing Brush as it truly does give you the flawless airbrushed effect.
Step 4: Set foundation with my go to powder to make it long lasting
